Terms of Service

  • Animals are shipped from Ontario
  • Prices and availability are subject to change without notice;
  • All prices are in Canadian funds;
  • Sales taxes NOT included. All GST, HST and/or PST required by the buyer’s province will apply;
  • All specimens are unsexed unless otherwise noted;
  • All payments must be made prior to shipment;
  • Animals are sold on a “first-come, first-served” basis, meaning that the client from whom we receive payment from first will have priority for the specimen(s) we have in stock.
  • Shipping fees vary depending on locations, please inquire; Accessories will be shipped via regular Canada post.
  • For shipping, we must be provided with a complete and correct address, including all apartment numbers, buzzer numbers or gate codes, street numbers and names, and postal codes. If we are shipping to a business address, we must be provided with the business name to include on the address label.
  • PIPEDA regulations state that a courier may not deliver a package to an incomplete on the incorrect address. For deliveries to apartment buildings or condos, if the courier has not been given the appropriate buzzer or gate code to enter the building, then they will not deliver the box. In addition, the couriers will not call phone numbers listed on the box if they cannot enter the building for any reason or if entry codes are not provided / not working.
  • In the event, we are provided with a shipping address that is incomplete or incorrect and the box is undeliverable, the purchaser will be held responsible for any loses (including animals and courier charges), the Live Arrival guarantee will be void, and no refunds or replacements will be issued.
  • Payment accepted by money orders, email money transfers from most major banks, PayPal, VISA, MasterCard, and American Express credit cards. We may also accept personal cheques, but the funds must clear before any orders will be shipped.
  • LIVE ARRIVAL POLICY: Live arrival is guaranteed ONLY with use of next day service (or two-day service if next day service is not available) via FedEx Express or airline live animal cargo (West Jet, Air Canada). If the purchaser insists on the use of a shipping method other than the next day, or a service that we cannot personally guarantee to be delivered within two days, then there is no live arrival guarantee. Someone must be present at the delivery address to sign for and accept the delivery of the box in order for the live arrival guarantee to apply. During winter shipping months the purchase of an insulated box and heat pack is required for a live arrival guarantee. In the event of DOAs (dead on arrival) when live arrival has been guaranteed, the animals will be replaced or refunded (only if no replacements are available), but shipping fees must be paid again and are not refundable, except in cases where we are issued a refund by the shipping company in compensation for a failure of services guaranteed. Proof of the animal’s death (either a photograph or the return of the dead specimen) is also required. In the event we are provided with an incomplete or incorrect address and the box is undeliverable, or if the receiver changes the delivery address after the box has been shipped, then the Live Arrival Guarantee is void, no refunds or replacements will be issued, and the purchaser will be responsible for any additional shipping fees for the return of the box to us. We must be notified of any DOAs within 24 hours of the delivery of the animals, or the live arrival guarantee will be void.
  • All Pre-orders require a 50 percent deposit to which is non-refundable.
  • If there is a price error or zero doller value this is a programming error and you will be sent to actual cost. we try our best but at time we are not accountable for programming errors that can occur.
  • Three Day Guarantee: The lives and health of the animals, shipped or purchased in person, are guaranteed for 7 days after they have reached the hands of the purchaser. If any health problems are observed within the three day period, we must be notified immediately when the problem is observed. After that time, no refunds or replacements will be issued, as the life and health of the specimens are then the responsibility of the purchaser. In the event of an animal’s death in the 3 day period of guarantee, the animals will be replaced or Credited (only if no replacements are available), but shipping fees must be paid again and are not refundable. Deaths due to accidents, neglect, improper care, or irresponsibility on the part of the new owner are not covered. Deaths that result from animals being housed communally are not covered. Proof of the animal’s death (either a photograph or the return of the dead specimen) is also required. We must be notified of any deaths within 24 hours of the death of the animal(s), or the 3-day guarantee will be void.
  • Requests for animals to be reserved are handled on a case by case basis, and we reserve the right to refuse to place animals on the reserve. Animals may be placed on hold for up to two weeks without a deposit. Animals may be placed on reserve for up to 6 weeks with a deposit (amount of deposit depends on the species).
  • We reserve the right not to sell to any person if we have reason to suspect the animals will be cared for in an irresponsible or unsafe manner.
  • Trades: We are open to trades, please contact us with offers. Please note that we must receive the animals offered to us in trade, alive and in a healthy condition, before we ship our end of the trade, no exceptions.
  • Shipping worldwide available for legitimate international importers; International orders are shipped via air cargo only.
  • NO ANIMALS WITH POTENT VENOM WILL BE SOLD TO CUSTOMERS UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE. For the purchase of animals with potent venom, we need to be provided proof (at least 2 items) that the purchaser is at least 18 years of age. A photo ID (ex: driver’s license) that shows the date of birth and address should be one. The other can be a number of items, such as a credit card or utility bill sent to the purchaser’s address. If proof of age cannot be provided, we will not sell these animals. We reserve the right to not sell these animals if we have any reason to believe that 1.) the items showing proof of age are not legitimate (forged or stolen) 2.) the animals will be under the care of a minor, or 3.) the purchaser will not care for these animals in a responsible, safe manner.
  • A 20.00 cancelation fee will be charged for order cancelled for any reason after it is place to cover any administration fees. If pay pal was used we will also deduct the fee that was charged by them for the transaction.
  • Customers under the age of 18 may make purchases with the permission of a parent or legal guardian, as long as the animals do not have potent venom.
  • Please be aware of any bylaws in your area which may restrict the ownership of certain types of animals. We at Tangled In Webs cannot keep up with bylaws outside of our own city, so it is the purchaser’s responsibility to know the laws in his or her area and to abide by them.
  • Privacy- Please note that we do not disclose phone numbers, email addresses, home or work addresses, or other private information of our clients.
  • Due to an ongoing issue of some clients reserving animals for expos but not picking them up, we now require all expo reservations to be pre-paid in full.
  • All sales are final.
